Fiber + Yurts= Paradise!

On my holidays, we stopped in at a wonderful place on the sunshine coast that was a fiber-only gallery, workshop and studio, all in yurts!

The place was absolutely amazing! I think I just about fell over when I walked into the studio:

The round room was filled with shelves and shelves of dyed wools, fleeces and yarns, all arranged by color. There was the biggest loom I had ever seen in the middle, and 3 spinning wheels scattered throughout. The fiber artist who owned the place was so talented and provided me with so much valuable information. I picked up some fiber from her including bamboo, soysilk, and wool, as well as some special dyes that do not leave any chemicals in the water after you are done dyeing.

One can dream, right?

We were just over in Powell River and are planning to make another trip to the sunshine coast. Could you share where it was? I would love to visit it :)
