A couple of shots of some merino that I've spun. Merino is known as one of the softer, higher-quality wools. Admittedly, its a bit tricker to spin, but its lovely and silky when spun. The first is a single ply, meaning one strand. The second is 2-ply, meaning 2 strands wound together.
Other spinners I've talked to say you should always keep the first wool you've spun. I don't think I'll have a hard time doing that, I can barely make anything with them as I'm too precious about them! I kind of just like having skeins of handspun yarn everywhere!!!
